Two stars are for their clinic management. As other reviews have said, they do not take in walk-in appointments. I had an appointment right when they opened at 5pm however this location is located in a high traffic area with construction at this time. I called at 5:02pm to advise I would be late, they only give a 5 minute grace period but they said I should be fine. I come in at 5:11pm and told to sit in the lobby. I get placed on a standby list and wait in the lobby for 30 minutes. Nothing is said until I hear a nurse talked to the receptionist directly about me saying “why is she alone waiting in the lobby without an appointment?” and openly talking how I shouldn’t be here. The conversation made me feel uncomfortable and shortly after, I get an automated text message saying I got moved to a 9:30pm appointment. I left shortly after: I understand I was late, but it was also a 45 minute commute with traffic. I would hope there could be better clinic management to squeeze someone in especially for an “urgent” visit (my daughter has a respiratory illness and her pediatrician recommend going to urgent care to get an X-Ray) If you are a parent that lives far from this location I would recommend going somewhere else. The bedside manner with the nurse coupled with being told I couldn’t be seen yet the lobby being empty at the time left a bad experience for me.

We had an outstanding experience at PCH Urgent Care after my son’s wrist fracture was missed at the PCH Pediatric ER. From the moment we arrived, the care was exceptional. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in helping my son feel comfortable. The doctor was especially amazing. He came in multiple times to check on us, explain what was happening, and give clear time expectations as his care progressed. That level of communication made such a difference and really helped ease my son’s nerves (and mine!). The nurses were equally wonderful. They applied an excellent splint with so much care, and we left with clear discharge instructions and a straightforward referral for follow-up care. We are so grateful for the team at PCH Urgent Care and the high-quality care they provided. Highly recommend!

This urgent care is by appointment only, good thing I looked online first. There was same day availability to book online before hours. I was able to do all the paperwork online before appointment, as I was bringing my son by myself this was very helpful. Every staff member was extremely nice and welcoming. Over the top team there, really. Genuinely they all seemed to have a love for their jobs and the kids they help. There was nearly no wait time, it was a quick appointment which is a good thing for me and my baby. Would definitely go there again.

Allen Walker Needs To Be Investigated For discrimination! I took my kids who are visibly sick and uncomfortable. He looked at them and said he didn’t “see” any infection. Never ran any test I went back and forth assuring something was wrong due to my son not being able to swallow and the baby having similar symptoms he cut me off and told me he was sending us on our way . I came to children’s hospital the emergency room and found out both my babies have infections and one even had strep throat

I am extremely disappointed with this pediatric urgent care. My daughter was diagnosed with Flu A and has had a persistent fever for an entire week. Her pediatrician specifically instructed me to take her to urgent care for evaluation due to the prolonged fever and risk of complications. When I arrived seeking medical care for my sick child, we were turned away because this “urgent care” only sees patients by appointment. There was no attempt to triage her, assess the urgency of her condition, or offer any meaningful assistance. Instead, I was simply told to go to a regular urgent care for adults. Refusing to evaluate a child with a confirmed flu and a week-long fever — especially after being referred by her doctor — is unacceptable for any facility advertising itself as a pediatric urgent care. An urgent care should be prepared to handle urgent situations or at the very least provide proper triage and guidance. Turning away sick children without assessment defeats the entire purpose of being an urgent care. Parents come here expecting help when their children are ill and need timely medical attention. Unfortunately, that was not our experience at all.
