Logan Gordon a month agoMy aunt was at Grand because she was going through a hard time mentally. She was only there a few days, but the things she reported seeing were absolutely something I would never expect from a place where people come for help. My aunt had told me about her experience there which included things about staff members, but specifically one staff member. My aunt had told me this staff member, Kelsi, was completely disrespectful, uncaring, and overall not fit to work with people who need help. My aunt witnessed Kelsi speaking disrespectfully to other clients, rolling her eyes at clients when asking to go to the bathroom, sighing loudly at clients when asked a question, ignoring clients when she was on her phone or pointing them to a different staff member, being rude and short with other staff members, and overall being mean. I guess they do something called “holds” there that my aunt described as, if someone is acting extreme, staff members have to hold this person and sometimes give them a syringe of medicine. My aunt told me this was an extremely stressful thing to happen, alot of screaming, yelling and crying.. Well, my aunt had told me that she saw Kelsi pacing and saying something along the lines of “I’m so ready for this hold” and “I need some action”. When this did happen, Kelsi left the room where clients are completely unattended, with no other staff members to help any clients or make sure they are okay while screaming and everything is happening. Thankfully my aunt told me that some staff members came to the room but they were talking about how often Kelsi does this. Long story short: This is completely innapropriate. I wanted to trust this company in assisting my aunt in one of the worst times of her life, and to see that these are the types of staff that they have to take care of her makes me very concerned and sad. I would have never EVER imagined that they would hire, let alone keep someone who is this disrespectful. My aunt said she was talking to other clients, some of which I guess go there more than once, and they said she is like this often. I’m not sure what Grand’s hiring process looks like, but I do not understand how someone like that still works in such a sensitive job environment. Hopefully they do something about it, but untill then, I will suggest my aunt go elsewhere if anything like this happens again.
Adrienne Knoy 2 months agoI'm so excited to see what you're wonderful brilliant beautiful staff has to offer my current partner who's in your facility under your care I'm excited to see what man he becomes and the new life he has thanks to you guys I get to have my better half back that I prayed for.
Hollie K 7 months agoI have received services from Grand Lake for years and and as long as you follow the program and your patient everything will work out a lot of people are just struggling so bad that they do make excuses to leave. recovery is not comfortable and I do know that people lie to their families and tell them that Treatment is worse just so they can get out of there. I’ve had friends and family do this. Go to an NA meeting in Tulsa and you will hear what’s on the other side of completing detox and Grand Lakes rehab and you will hear the recovery stories the real stuff the people that just tough it out and make it through it. It does stop going from addiction and doing whatever the heck you wanna do to go to a facility and have to wait on employees that are taken care of 100 patients they’re doing everything there.
Chris Hoflich 6 months agoHmm after waiting 3 1/2 hours in their intake lobby, I found out that the criminal element that was sent there for punishment has priority. I've got severe alcoholism and was really needing assistance, but the court ordered central
hapi2bee a year agoThey don't deserve one star'. I have a grandson in Grand Lake Mental health facility or was " I don't know what is the truth with this place. He wanted to get into a program for Substance abuse to detox for 30days after having an accident from a drug. I called around for him , so we can get him the help he needed. Not only that' He had to be in court by April 4,2025. Christian was brought into the facility on the 16 of February 2025 , but we were told they would get him a bed the next day, so we brought him back. We were told he would get to call us and we could call and inquire and support our grandson. That was a LIE" All his rights were violated as far as the consumer rights of ODMHSAS. He always check in with us and his big brother on everything . I've got guardianship .I was told by one of the guys that was outside of the facility" that Christian was beat badly and sent to the Urgent care services for his injuries by one of the Therapist, so now I'm worried. I kept trying to call him or hear from him in that facility everyday and no prevail for the whole two months (February-March) We haven't had any contact with our (grandson )Christian since he entered that facility and still haven't been given the opportunity to hear from him in any way shape or form. They always tell me they don't have a ROI on file and they can't say whether he is there or not and they will take a message and give it to the Therapist and he will write his name on the board to call me at a designated time , but he was told in front of my husband and I ' that he would get to sign one. He asked her for that form , so that he could sign it and they ushered him to the back and we proceed to follow and they said' We couldn't go back with him. They would make sure he signed the necessary documents for family for emergency and for us as the guardians. This isn't like him to just not call or speak to us about his situation and I feel awful he had to go through this ' just to get help and now NO communication since he entered that facility and were just suppose to believe WHATEVER" without hearing from him ourselves?... Something isn't right and I can't rest until I know what happen to him in that facility. I've seen reviews about this facility recently from witnesses to what Our family is going through. The Isolation and the abuse from them and their families is crazy. WHAT ARE THEY HIDING? I was told he discharged March 28th, 2025 and went to a sobering house. Now' I call there and they said' he isn't there either, So where did they take him ? Why lie to his family. Right now' We still haven't heard from him. DO NOT GO THERE!
