The receptionist as well as the nurse that took my medical history and vitals were great! The FNP was immediately combative, rude, and continuously cut me off, and hardly asked me any questions. I understand time is incredibly valuable in healthcare, and is stretched thin but I wasn't able to properly describe my symptoms. It's hard to get help if you can't describe your issues. I just gave up trying to engage in the conversation with them after a while and just let them talk. It wasn't worth the time, money, or headache.

It was the best visit that I’ve ever had at a walk-in urgent care! Breathing difficulty prompted my visit. After walking in, the staff was cordial and efficient. Registration took only a few minutes, and within 5 minutes I was seeing a practitioner. Initial exam focused on my breathing difficulty and the practitioner determined that there was some fluid in my right lung. That determination led to an albuterol breathing session while I was in the exam room. And after 10 minutes of that I could breathe easily again. Pre-discharge follow up included a focused discussion of the diagnosis, an Rx for an albuterol inhaler, and a referral for a chest X-ray the following morning. As I said, the absolute best walk-in visit that I’ve ever had!!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with FNP Daniel Smith during my recent visit. Although I scheduled an appointment, the clinic was already significantly behind when I arrived, which I understand can happen. However, once I was brought back to an exam room, the delays continued far beyond what was communicated to me. When Dr. Smith finally entered the room, I was informed that my initial tests had all come back negative, but that one additional test would be run “just to be sure.” I was told the results would take approximately 10–15 minutes. That timeframe passed, followed by 30 minutes and then longer, with no update provided. During this extended wait, I could clearly hear Dr. Smith spending prolonged periods of time in other patient rooms or outside the rooms engaged in conversations unrelated to medical care. I overheard staff state that my test results were ready, yet no one came to inform me or discharge me. Dr. Smith then entered another patient’s room and again remained there for an extended time while I continued waiting. Eventually, I overheard Dr. Smith ask staff whether there was still a patient in Room 1, despite the fact that I had been waiting there the entire time. By this point, every patient who arrived at the same time as me or after me had already been seen and discharged. I felt dismissed and overlooked, particularly as my symptoms were quickly written off despite me explaining that this was a recurring issue for which I had previously received treatment. I was ultimately discharged without any medication or guidance to help manage my symptoms. As a self-pay patient, I paid $160 for this visit and left feeling unheard, disrespected, and without care. Navigating healthcare in the U.S. is already challenging, and experiences like this especially as a young patient of color are deeply discouraging. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no patient should feel ignored or forgotten while waiting for care they were promised. Now I have to take another day off work and spend more money to seek care elsewhere where.

Front desk and MA were pretty polite but the FNP was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She treated me like a child and acted as though my medical issue was my fault. Moreover, she was very rough with me and completely inconsiderate of my pain. She was already preparing to see another patient before she even acknowledged my presence in the room so she clearly had no intent to help me from the start. I usually have good experiences at places like NextCare but I highly suggest avoiding this location unless you want to risk being withheld common human decency during a vulnerable period of your life.
