I’ve been going to UCI in Anaheim since I was a child. This last year continuing into this year has made me think of moving clinics. To start off my OB Rita was just more focused on getting me on birth control. I had a stillbirth Nov 9th. When I went in for my appointment in December the staff Address me as pregnant even asked how my baby was doing when I reminded them that I had a stillborn, they said their record showed I was still pregnant. Even though I called in November to let them know what happened and I gave birth at Uci hospital. When it came time for Rita to enter the room, I had so many questions that she Dismissed. When I brought up my concerns, she would say it was nothing to worry about and that my still birth was due to “just bad luck”. Fast forward to needing extended disability papers I’ve called multiple times have been told that a reminder has been sent to Rita stat (3) times and have not gotten any response. This will be three weeks of trying to get extended disability forms from my OB Rita. Even when I initially got disability forms from her. It took an additional month for them to be completed properly and no one called me to tell me that they were ready as a lost mom these are things you don’t wanna worry about, but unfortunately, you have to and I used to love going to the Uci But lately it seems impossible for them to work with you and you to work with them. In future pregnancies I will definitely be getting a new OB Rita would check the heartbeat of baby and not even tell me what it was. It would be for a second and then she would walk out there’s no reassurance there’s no empathy so when choosing your OB, please be mindful and remember that advocating for yourself and having someone is the top priority in healthcare and for you. And if you feel like that is not being me, consider changing OBs like I am

Newborn Parents Be On Guard!! I took my 6-day old son for his first appointment following our discharge from UCI Medical Center. When the appointment was made, we were informed that this was a pediatrics specific clinic and NOT a generalized clinic. Upon entering the clinic to check-in for the appointment, my son and I were greeted by full grown adults with signs of active respiratory infections. The clinic was hosting a "walk-in" day. For clarification, I am not upset that the clinic treating both adults and pediatrics; I am upset that the clinic's lack of infection control policies! To have sick adults, especially with signs of active respiratory infections during respiratory season, AND immune immature newborns within the same reception area is dangerous, ridiculous, and thoughtless. Thankfully, I had a blanket shielding him and stepped outside multiple time to protect him from the thoughtlessness on display at UCI-Anaheim. The clinic manager ought to be reprimanded for his or her lack of forethought and preparedness when it comes to infection control. In closing I would like to thank two of the staff at the clinic who provided care to my son. First the medical assistant who handled my anger and disbelief at the situation with an exceptional amount of poise and grace. Thank you. The second is the pediatrician who gave my son his check-up. She was warm, personable, and informative. Thank you! If we didn't already have a pediatrician chosen for our son, she would have been my choice.

Hi, I had a wonderful experience. Im 44 yrs old and had a Wonderful experience with this Facility. I met with Ms. Patty and they honestly all look related. Lol. I went there before...over 20 years ago and they remembered me. :) I was soo HAPPY 😊. My sister and friend of 15 yrs accompanied I. We traveled together.

Horrible experience. This was only my 2nd visit as a newer patient. NP Rita Ceja did not listen to me, at all. She suggested I had "white coat syndrome". I was at my gyno appt for an exam and refill only. Over 1-1/2 hours went by and I still hadn't been examined. Rita Ceja did not listen to me, she dismissed me and spoke down to me in a tone like I was a child. She did push the mammogram and colonoscopy protocol and that seemed to be her main focus, not the reason I was actually there. She made assumptions and did not ask questions except "were you in a rush today?" I had another dr appt I had to be at but she wasted so much time trying get me to say yes to a colonoscopy when I wasn't there to talk about that, I was frustrated. I don't have to explain my day to her. She was cold and rude. I asked to refill my migriane meds since my migraines are hormonal with my cycle and she said she only deals with "breasts and vaginas, nothing else". Like she couldn't be bothered and didnt want to listen to anything I had to say after that. The migraines are from my menstrual cycle. My last NP who did all my gyno exams in the past is the one who figured out the migraines were hormonal related and that's how I got the medicine in the first place. Rita told me I needed to make an appt with my GP for that and shut me down and didn't want to hear anything. I was trying to give backstory on my medical history since I was a new patient. I'm the best source. I made a GP appt and the first available appt was 3-1/2 months away!!! That was the best they could do. Rita Ceja did not care, She did not want to hear me and stuck with her assumption I must have "white coat syndrome ". I have never been treated like this or spoken to by a medical professional in this way. Mutliple staff (who were wonderful to deal with) expressed frustration with her once her name was mentioned. That tells me it's not just me. She should handle people better. She was so focused on chastising me for not doing the mailed out colonoscopy kit and a mammogram instead of focusing on my gyno exam which never even happened. She wasted time instead of examining me. Time spent at appt 1 hour 40 minutes and no exam. Zero bedside manner and no people skills.

Been trying for WEEKS to get a hold of someone regarding a mutual patient to help them get the treatment they need, but this office has been completely unresponsive and never answers their phone. "always busy" We are ALL busy, answer your phone...
