AFC Urgent Care Clairemont

I was very hesitant to go back to the AFC Urgent Care based on my last visit maybe 5 to 7 years ago! When I woke up Saturday morning, I was so sick looked at the closest Urgent Care and check to see if they take my insurance. AFC was the closest so I decided to give them another try... Upon arriving after doing the online appointment, I was a met by a very nice guy named Javon. He welcomed to me, made sure I was comfortable and then the Nurse came. She introduced herself, welcomed me, did my vitals and put me in a treatment room. The room was clean, organized and well lit. Shortly after the doctor came in, Introduced himself and proceeded to ask questions about how I’m feeling? how long it’s been going on? All prior to doing an examination. He’s a triathlete and has experienced this recently, apparently upper respiratory infections are really going around right now. He prescribed me medication and said if I wasn’t feeling better in the week to check back in. That’s what I did and had a very similar experience with a different girl that was seated at the front very nice warm friendly saw the same doctor had a great nurse experience and now I hope my new insurance that I’m getting in July covers AFC clinics! Thanks for taking such good care of us in Clairemont AFC! So if you tried in the past and like me, had a bad experience, give them another shot! Might be worth the healing!

My Visit to Urgent Care I had a very pleasant experience with the staff during my visit. Everyone was extremely kind and professional. They flushed my left ear with warm water using a syringe, and some wax pieces came out. The doctor examined my ear afterward and said everything looked good. I mentioned that it still didn’t feel fully open, but I was told it was still wet inside and should feel normal once it dries. I asked if I needed ear drops, but the doctor said they weren’t necessary. After leaving, my ear dried, but I’m still not hearing 100% on the left side — it feels half blocked. There’s no pain, just ongoing discomfort and reduced hearing, so I’ll need to follow up elsewhere to get it fully resolved. The staff was wonderful, but I’m still dealing with the issue after the visit.

I had to delete my old review and do a new one so management would see it. Natali at the front desk was awesome!!!!!! Very friendly and welcoming girl. I came in 10 mins before they close and said can i still be seen i just closed mt business she said absolutely! That was great! She gave me a smile as i got my paperwork started. The Dr was quick to come in and diag me quickly with meds. Again shout out to Natali at the front desk she was so nice! Went to CVS next door to get meds before they closed too.

I've been coming for years, Jesus is awesome. He is the only person I'm comfortable with taking my blood. It is a challenge to find anywhere else with staff that are as kind and that take work as seriously as many of the people here. Jesus is the main reason I stick around, but some of the office people upfront and one of the doctors in particular are wonderful people. I appreciate this urgent care so much, that I would rather drive out of the way instead of going to a place closer to home. The drive and time investment are worth it, because I know I'll receive quality care. Also, the wait usually isn't that bad, it's in line with a typical urgent care and sometimes it's faster. Plus there is a good coffee shop around the area, and sometimes I like to walk around the lot or I can go shopping at the grocery store nearby

Reiterating my previous review and recommending that no one use this service unless you are dying on their door step. I have been charged for blood tests several months ago but AFC Urgent care did not pay the lab and also gave the lab my name and address. They have promised 4 times in person and on the phone to take care of the bill and have not. The only way to get any customer service is to write an online review, otherwise you are ignored. They will say anything to get you off the phone then do nothing. No respect whatsoever for customers time. I would not trust these guys to walk my dog, much less run a chain of medical facilities. Total disgrace.
