The staff were very nice. The check in process as a walk-in and first time using an urgent care went very quick and easy. The attending Psycian was very nice and was able to get all my care needs figured out in a timely manner. Thank you to the whole staff. I will also add I was an out of pocket payment, and staff/physian did everything to keep the cost of things at a reasonable fee. ♥️💯

From the moment I was greeted with a warm welcoming "Hello. How can I help you today?" I felt special and confident in the care I would receive. Everyone was so pleasant and very polite. As someone that felt very sick it was very nice to feel like I was special. I would highly recommend my friends 🧡 and family to this Urgent Care facility.

I fell on my wrist and it was still hurting after a couple of days so I wanted a place to quickly get an xray as I’m between PCPs. I made an appointment for the next morning at the AFC Point Loma location which says on its website offers X-rays. That morning (a Friday) they called and said they don’t actually offer x-rays, that I could come in but they would only refer me to their mission valley location. Obviously that would have been a waste of my time so I make an appointment at this Mission Valley location for the first thing Monday (as X-rays aren’t available on weekends). I get here to mission valley and they tell me “just so you know we don’t have an xray tech on the premises today so you can keep your appointment but we would only refer you ri your PCP.” Absolutely useless waste of my time.

Visiting California, and had an unfortunate accident. Found this facility through my insurance. Everyone was great and friendly. Place was clean. I made an appointment online and was in a room within 15 min. Quick process, overall great service. Doctor very friendly and funny. I recommend this facility.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at AFC Urgent Care. From the very beginning, everything was smooth and efficient. I was able to book an appointment within just 3 hours of looking, which was a huge relief. When I arrived, the check-in process was quick, and I was taken back promptly and completely finished within 30 minutes—which is honestly unheard of in healthcare. Every single staff member I interacted with was kind, welcoming, and easy to talk to. The entire environment felt calm and supportive, not rushed or impersonal at all. I was treated by Maggie Frye, and she was truly exceptional. Maggie took the time to really listen to me, asked thoughtful questions, and made me feel heard and understood. She was relatable, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable, which instantly put me at ease. She explained everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable and confident before leaving. You can genuinely tell she cares about her patients, and that made all the difference. This was my first time ever visiting an urgent care, and because of this experience, it definitely won’t be my last. I will 100% be recommending AFC Urgent Care—and especially Maggie Frye—to everyone I know. An outstanding experience from start to finish!
