one star for the nurses who are always sweet to us but other than that id give this place zero stars i could. i only bring my mother here because she is a cancer patient and they have all her medical history here. the doctors genuinely couldn’t care less about you and will not listen to you even if you’re a cancer patient. i brought my mom here a month ago and they kept her overnight and said they wanted to run a million tests on her but didnt. then this last time we told the doctor she was vomiting and hadn’t eaten in 3 days and they just gave her morphine for her headache and sent her home and told her to take tylenol (which she was taking already). they didn’t even reach out to her oncology doctor. i HATE it here.

The front counter ladies were courteous and helped process me quickly. Dr. David Lang and his team’s speedy testing, scanning, and diagnosis prior to my admission truly impressed me. They made me feel comfortable and well-tended in the short time I was in their care. Theirs is the standard for how all emergency rooms should function.

When you go to the emergency room, it's because you have an emergency. This is the worst hospital I've ever visited. From the staff at the front desk to the nurses and doctors, the attitude at the front desk is terrible. Even though there are waiting rooms, if you're stuck in the hallway, you're stuck there. To enter, anyone who smokes has to throw their cigarettes away (not my case, but still). Just not smoking inside is enough. I went to speak with the doctor, and security followed me, escorting me to the exit. I just needed to be clear about my medication. Even though I already had the results, they kept me there for another two hours. The treatment was awful. I went to explain to the staff member at the front desk what happened and why I needed a wheelchair, and she wouldn't let me speak, with a terrible attitude. I would never, under any circumstances, return to this hospital. However, my experiences with other doctors' shifts have been excellent, but the emergency room was horrible.

Avoid this emergency room. I went there in severe pain. They didn’t even take my blood. They put me in the non emergency part of the emergency room and misdiagnosed me without even doing any tests to make any diagnosis. Gave me a steroid shot and sent me home. A day later I went to Jackson hospital where they did a full work up, found out what was wrong, and admitted me. They put in in the non emergency wing with 2 other black people (we were the only blacks there) so I would wonder if racism played a part in it. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

I had a very aggressive infection in my mouth that spread to my cheeks, lips, jaw and neck (in 3 hours) fever of 103 and elevated heart rate. I also found out I had strep. I went to the ER and I was seen by Dr. David Lang and my nurse was Giselle. They were both so good to me. Answered all my questions, listened to everything I had to say, they were clear about the plan and reported all the results, explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. I never felt like they were rushing at the bedside with me or rushing to discharge me. Excellent bedside manner, anything I asked for big or small was given to me pretty quickly. I was really scared and in a lot of pain but they fixed me right up!! Thank you Dr Lang and Nurse Giselle. HR - if ur reading this: GIVE THEM A RAISE!!!!
