I always have had a great experience when I need to come in. The lady I saw got me in and out super quickly and was super sweet. The only reason I didn’t leave 5 stars is because the room they take you to for your vitals and history is right off the lobby and is not soundproof. I could hear everything being discussed by the nurse and the two patients who went through before me. I feel like they should consider getting a white noise machine to place outside the door so people in the lobby don’t overhear private medical conversations.

I visited NextCare Urgent Care in Derby today and overall had a good experience. The medical service was great, and the staff were professional, helpful, and respectful. The environment was also clean, organized, and well taken care of, which made the visit more comfortable. One area where I believe there is room for improvement is service speed. The wait/process could be a little faster. My biggest concern is the requirement to pay the co-pay upfront before seeing a doctor, nurse practitioner, or medical professional, even when a patient has health insurance. It raises an important question: if someone is critically ill and does not have the co-pay available at that moment, would they be denied care? I believe this is an opportunity for the clinic to review and improve the patient experience. Overall, I appreciate the quality of care and professionalism I received.

Everyone from the front desk, nurse, and doctor were great!!!! It was a weird situation and everyone was very nice and polite. Everybody explained everything to me. I brought my son in later and they were excellent with him. He really liked them all. Thank you for a wonderful experience for the situation.

Staff is friendly but the provider has been rude and dismissive both times I've been in. This last time was the final straw. Besides having to argue with the provider that it wasn't workman's comp because I injured myself taking out my HOME trash. I was also repeatedly told I was "young" and it was "just a muscle strain" in my back. Despite having pulled my back before and this felt nothing like it. It was dead center of my spine with sharp stabbing pain that couldn't be replicated by touch. I could barely even walk. Their solution? A prescription for muscle relaxers that I had already tried and had already stated did nothing. No encouragement to follow up with my primary for additional testing, just a pat on the head and I was booted out the door. Turns out, I tore the disc in my spine. I wouldn't be so furious with the initial misdiagnosis, because hey we all make mistakes, but the dismissive attitude was unforgivable.

I am a fairly new patient to the Derby location. My grandson and I have made a few appointments at this office. The staff are friendly, caring and have excellent customer service. NP's are excellent. We are pleased with the health care we receive here. We will use NextCare Urgent Care when we are in need.
