Dr. O’Laughlin is so wonderful always. I was nervous to get a new doctor a few years back when my other doctor retired, but I made a great choice. And her nurse Regina has always been great and I appreciate her so much. They are an amazing team.

I came in for an annual physical. It was my first time attending any Sunflower Medical & Urgent Care facilities. The staff were very nice and helpful. Before I was examined by the doctor, I was asked to fill out the first time patient forms, giving information consenting to this and that, etc. After my appointment I got my bill that was outrageously priced, and eventually got my health insurance and their attendant on a phone call. The attendant stated that their medical practice had a “policy” that my first visit was not considered anything more than a consolation. Though the paperwork I signed my name to had not been made accessible to me after the fact, the doctor, staff, and nurses alike gave me no notice of this “policy”. I did not recall reading anything about this “policy” either. Once I confronted the Sunflower attendant over the phone about this, they “got ahold of billings” and their answer was the doctor had coded the visit incorrectly. Not to be rude or naive, but all I was there for was a physical. So through a half of my day getting the call coordinated and explaining my situation I’ve still been billed for the visit for a smaller sum. If you want nice service, this place has it, but don’t expect their respective departments to communicate to one another. Ensure you’ve got a half a day to get a call together with any important parties to resolve any gross over-billings.

I went there last week after I heard a loud pop in my knee and was experiencing a lot of pain. I was seen by a very dismissive Dr and told she thinks its just a ligament and that she would write a prescription for anti inflammatory even though I asked for mri etc. When I got to the pharmacy I found out they had not called in prescription and pharmacy was closing soon. I then called sunflower and started leaving messages but they would not call back. Today I went in and spoke to receptionist to find out there was nobody there that could help until 5. I explained that I dont need a dr. I just need them to actually send the prescription to my pharmacy and that I was leaving town soon. The receptionist could not even figure out who saw me that day. Im still in a bunch of pain and will not be back to this medical guess n test that doesnt return phone calls.

I always have a really bad experiences here, never fails. One of the doctors has a medical problem so if your smells are strong you get sent home (not making this up). One of the nurses is really, really rude. Their office practices make no sense for being supposedly a medical office. Plus you are sure to have all your personal info stolen due to their frequent data breaches. Hate this place 100%.

I see Laurel Short at Sunflower medical and she is a 10 out of 10. She is caring and has really helped me with my HRT therapy, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the portal makes communication with your provider so easy.
