Urgent Care of Kansas - independence

Sign at the door and Google Maps say this is open at 10:00am. Arrived at 10:05 am and doors were locked and nobody was there. Nurse practitioner shows up late to appointments. People need urgent care so this is ridiculous! People are waiting in pain and have medical emergencies yet you leave them like this?

I’ve called this ‘urgent’ care office 8 times since they’ve opened. Never have they answered. Not once. I’ll let my insurance know, that you’re refusing access to care, that is.

First time being there. They paid attention to the symptoms I told them. Did some tests for reactions and pain for the most likely cause. Told me it was emergency room case if they are right and made sure I got to a hospital. Didn't worry about payment for the time they spent checking me out vs me getting me to help. ER confirmed their diagnosis and scheduled me for surgery same day. Thanks alot, I am recovering well now.

I went to an urgent care up north by my job and left bc they wanted to charge me 10%of my deductible to be seen. Came to this one which is close to home, I waited all of 10 minutes to be seen and didn’t get charged a dime since there’s no urgent care copay specified on my insurance, was greeted with kindness and care and after a thorough look at my x rays was sent home with meds and a follow up with a new primary that quickly! She was great, the nurse was great and I’m so happy I didn’t settle with that horrible place up North! 10/10 would recommend!

I don’t leave long reviews often—about as rarely as I visit a doctor—but I had to share this experience. I recently went to this urgent care for a sudden ear infection and was genuinely impressed from start to finish. The staff was friendly and welcoming the moment I walked in, and the wait time was minimal. I believe the providers were Bethany and Dawn (apologies if I got the names wrong), and they were outstanding. They took the time to thoroughly examine me and clearly explain my treatment options. I felt genuinely cared for and left confident about my recovery. A big thank you to the team! Great employees are what truly set a place apart, and you’ve got some exceptional ones here. I highly recommend this clinic.
