⭐️ WARNING: Tourist Scam & Financial Exploitation at Elite Medical Center - A Traumatic Experience ⭐️ I am writing this review to warn every visitor, tourist, and traveler to stay away from this place. My experience at Elite Medical Center (an extension of Valley Hospital) was nothing short of a nightmare - a shocking display of how a private medical facility can exploit a tourist’s vulnerability for financial gain, with absolutely no compassion or professionalism. I came in feeling weak, coughing, with mucus and throat pain - classic cold or flu symptoms. I was simply hoping for a doctor’s checkup and a prescription for a cough syrup or pain relief. Instead, what I got was a horrifying ordeal that lasted nearly four hours and had almost nothing to do with medicine. The moment I arrived, the staff immediately noticed that English is not my native language. They offered to get a translator at first, but then refused and said, “No need, we’ll use Google Translate.” That was the first red flag. Within five minutes, a woman from the billing department rushed in - not a doctor, not a nurse - and demanded immediate payment before any care could be given. When I asked what the cost would be, she coldly said: > “You are not an American citizen. You will pay. I can charge you up to ten thousand dollars by law - if I want to.” I was shocked. I hadn’t even seen a doctor yet. They refused to explain what the charges included, and when I asked for a breakdown or invoice, they simply said, “You’ll pay now and get your medication later.” I told them I needed to contact my insurance, but instead of helping, they became aggressive and intimidating. They told me to-stay in the examination room and not leave - the security guard literally stood outside the door. I felt trapped, pressured,- and frightened. This was not medical care - it was coercion. After three exhausting hours of arguing, the “financial representative” suddenly decided to “be generous” and told me she would give me a special discount - only $1,280, as if she was doing me a favor. Keep in mind, I still hadn’t received any actual treatment - no examination, no medical procedure, no tests - just a nurse taking my vitals and asking basic questions. That’s it. In the end, I had to involve my insurance company (PassportCard) to resolve this disaster. Only after they intervened did the hospital agree to process payment through them. This entire experience was humiliating, terrifying, and disgraceful. Elite Medical Center exploited my situation, my limited English, and my lack of familiarity with U.S. medical billing practices to intimidate and overcharge a foreign visitor who simply needed basic care. To anyone reading this: avoid this place at all costs. If you are a tourist and you feel unwell in Las Vegas, go anywhere else - CVS Minute Clinic, CareNow, or a local urgent care. But do not set foot in Elite Medical Center. What happened to me should be investigated. This is not medicine - this is financial extortion under the guise of healthcare.

I was immediately greeted by an official and quickly led to a room where a friendly nurse was waiting for me. She, the admin lady and another nurse were all efficient and knowledgeable in their tasks. The doctor was thorough and showed concern coupled with a desire to accurately determine my medical condition so I could receive a fit-to-fly authorization after I had experienced a minor medical episode on an airplane. Recognizing a potential side condition, they ran an additional test. After I was released, the doctor called me at the airport and gave me the test results with instructions for follow-up when I returned home. All of this kind treatment was so appreciated by me and my husband on a Sunday, 1500 miles from home.

It feels silly to leave something like a Google review for an ER, a place you would generally not end up by choice, but I had an excellent experience here earlier today and I saw a sign on the door as I was leaving asking for a Google review, so here we are! While in town for work, I unexpectedly developed a kidney stone. I had been in town for less than 12 hours and was suddenly in excruciating pain. I was dreading a trip to any sort or urgent care or ER because my reference points for them are of chaos and stress and confusion and waiting. My pain was causing nausea and other issues that made it seem like it might be best to stay in my hotel room. Ultimately though, things got bad enough so I Googled "ER near me" and if you've done the same thing, this review is to tell you that you should absolutely go to Elite Medical Center. It is an orderly and clean place. Every single member of staff I encountered was incredibly professional, friendly and supportive in a way that made me feel cared for and as though constant progress was being made. It was very impressive how everyone worked together and every interaction was pleasant and kind. There was an easy enrollment in their EHR system that let me see results as they were happening and made it very easy to get follow up information back to my PCP at home. The discharge documentation was easy to understand. This was unlike any ER I've been to before in the best way and while no one wants to be very ill far from home, I could not have asked for a better experience than the one I had here. If you are in Vegas and need immediate medical attention, this is the place - get over there as fast as you can, you'll feel better soon!

I have had to visit your facility on 1 or more occasions. Each time I experienced nothing but the best of care for me. You addressed my medical problem and made me comfortable. And I appreciate your care for me and I thank each and everyone of you. Take care and with any luck I won't be seeing you anytime soon. .

I experienced food poisoning and had nausea and severe diarrhea for 2 days. Upon arrival at the facility, the staff were very professional, timely, and attentive. The emergency services I received were very thorough and Dr. Pape was exceptional. All the staff were truly attentive and friendly.
