I had an excellent experience at this walk-in facility. I booked myself an 8:00 a.m. appt, was asked to arrive at 7:45, did, and was seen almost immediately. The doctor I saw (foreign and a little difficult for me to understand, but that's okay) was very thorough and helpful. The clinic did an X-ray before I saw him. He prescribed the much needed pain med plus a steroid that I needed for my internal injury. After a few days medicating and resting, I got better. I'll go back to this clinic if needed.

I truly can't get over how cared for I felt today at this clinic! HUGE shout out to some of the most compassionate, hard-working, and admirable providers there - Mo and Robin were the most attentive and incredibly caring individuals I've ever encountered in a medical setting - and I've had a lot of encounters! I also want to give a shout out to the lady at the front desk and the new nurse who started last week (I just don't know their names). I wish I could do more to show my appreciation because being able to have people like this who are on your team is hard to find these days. Thanks you guys!!

If I could give this clinic zero stars, I absolutely would. I am a transplant patient, and I fully understand that some providers may not be comfortable managing more complex cases. That said, when you go to a walk-in clinic, the expectation is that you will at least be seen, assessed, and helped… not immediately dismissed. I have been sick three times in the past month and a half. This past Wednesday and Friday, I went to this clinic. On Friday (01/09/2026), the provider wouldn’t even touch me, barely assessed me, and immediately labeled me as “too high-level” or “too complex” and tried to send me straight to the ER. No exam. No effort. Just fear-mongering. I refused because I knew something was wrong, but I also knew it was not ER-level. Only after pushing back did they finally run tests and shocker… I had the flu and strep. Two very common, very treatable conditions. This is now the second time this clinic has taken my money, done a minimal exam, and then said, “Oh, you need to go to the ER, this is too high-level for us.” Both times, it ended up being simple flu or strep throat. Since then, I have seen other providers who have flat-out said that this clinic does not know what they’re talking about. The providers here clearly do not take the time to look at charts, understand transplant patients, or actually connect with a case before jumping to worst-case scenarios. Instead, they immediately start throwing around words like “sepsis” to scare you into going to the ER and not because it’s warranted, but because they don’t want to deal with you or are too afraid of liability. I don’t know if it’s incompetence, laziness, or pure self-protection but it is absolutely unacceptable. I have gone to this clinic three times in the past month and a half, and every single time I left still sick and did not improve from anything they did (or didn’t) do. If you are immunosuppressed, higher-risk, or even just a normal human being who expects basic medical care, do not go here. They will take your money, look at you, panic, and try to ship you off to the ER instead of actually doing their job. Again , if zero stars were an option, I would choose it without hesitation.

I have been seen twice at this clinic— once for a GI illness (seen by Aureata Majors) and another time for strep (seen by Beverly Crowder). In both experiences I have felt that my concerns were heard by my providers, validated, and treated effectively. I would recommend this facility to others and am grateful for the care I received

My experience at Vanderbilt Walk-In Clinic was very disappointing, mainly due to the front desk staff. They repeatedly asked about my visa status (student or not), which felt unnecessary and unprofessional for a medical visit. Despite clearly stating that I have Aetna PPO insurance, which they themselves said they accept, they still insisted on self-pay and refused to process insurance. The front desk staff seemed very confused and untrained—they had to call someone else for almost every question and could not give clear answers. This caused delays and unnecessary frustration at a time when patients already don’t feel well. Healthcare should be efficient and respectful. The front desk team definitely needs better training and knowledge about insurance handling and patient intake. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves their front desk operations.
