I was truly happy with my experience. The gentleman that checked me in was so very nice and greeted us as soon as we walked thru the door. The nurses and Xray tech were all very helpful and nice. The doctor was also nice and helpful. I got seen and Xray done from a fall on my knee. Thank goodness no breaks really swollen and bruised. This will be our walk in from now on.

I had an appointment at 12:30pm, where I drove 30 min to get here to be seen on time. I arrive and over an hour passes with still no word on when I will be seen. I ask the front desk and they say there were “2 emergencies” before me… when this isn’t an ER… and they said I would be next. They sent someone else back and then finally let me come back. The nurse who did my intake was some rude woman with a face tattoo, and I just now got seen by a doctor over an hour and 20 minutes later. What is the point of having an appointment if you’re not going to be seen even remotely close to your appointment time? Dr. Hornsby was professional and straight to the point, and he was not the problem. They definitely need to do some staff restructuring as the administrative people up front and that one nurse were very rude. I don’t plan on ever coming back to this clinic, and would not recommend to anyone else.

Staff were friendly, this review is not about the in-clinic experience. $140 for a Covid test I could have bought over the counter for ONE TENTH the cost. The medical industry is a scam economy in equal parts from providers like Vanderbilt and insurance companies. When a provider offers me a service in a visit, I should be able to know the cost. Almost every other industry can figure out a pricing model or negotiate directly with the consumer, but not this one. This review is for a lack of pricing transparency in healthcare, the collusion between providers and insurers, lack of accountability for both parties, and the complacency we have adopted toward just allowing this to happen over and over again with no changes.

DON'T BOTHER MAKING AN APPOINTMENT! As a long time Vanderbilt patient for all primary care needs + multiple specialties, I made an appointment for 9:30 AM to have possible upper respiratory issue looked at. Filled out all the pre-visit forms as required for all VUMC appointments. Deciding to go a bit early I was utterly shocked to be told that even if I'd showed up at my appointed time there was little chance that they could see me because they "had only one provider" and, basically, it made zero difference whether I had an appointment or not -- I would have to wait behind all the walk-ins before being seen. If you need urgent care -- go somewhere else. I should note the lousy policy of ignoring appointments was delivered courteously and empathetically. The people are fine. Vanderbilt's policy is awful and arrogant.

Waste of time. Literally, people that don’t care about anything and will tell you to take something even though your body has reacted poorly to it. Oh, and when you tell them you have been taking everything they are trying to give to. They say, “Well, then give it time.” Oh, and the best part? Once I said I reacted badly to the medicine they were trying to re issue me, I was told we all have to take medication we don’t like. It also seemed like it was an issue I came in with at all, but I guess it’s normal when you have tried all over-the-counter stuff and it still doesn’t work.
