I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience today was upsetting enough that I feel obligated to share it. The staff member who took me back never introduced himself, never explained his role, and barely communicated throughout the entire interaction. He bumped into me while leaving the room and didn’t acknowledge it. While taking my vitals, he never explained what he was doing or what any of the readings were. After taking my blood pressure, he looked at the computer and said, “You can go ahead and take that off.” When I politely asked if that was something he was supposed to do, he sighed and replied, “Yeah, I can take it off if you’d like.” He later sat staring at the computer and simply said, “Sup.” I didn’t even realize he was speaking to me because he never looked at me. Throughout the interaction, he avoided eye contact and made me feel like I was inconveniencing him by being there. What concerned me even more was hearing another patient’s name, date of birth, symptoms, and referral information being discussed loudly enough that I could hear it from my room while other patients were in the waiting area. The experience became so uncomfortable that I reported it to the front desk and was visibly upset. Another staff member took over and was much more professional. An X-ray was recommended, but I ultimately declined because I was informed the same employee was the only X-ray technician available, and I no longer felt comfortable continuing my care through him. I came in feeling physically sick and left feeling emotionally distressed, still without the diagnostic testing I needed. Patients deserve professionalism, communication, and basic compassion. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. :(

I have been here several times over the past few years and overall, this is my go-to for when I or a family member need to be seen quickly. Their online scheduler is a great tool to ensure you get seen when you arrive without waiting too long. I deducted a star because the entry glass door advertises the location is “Physician Staffed” but the providers are usually nurse practitioners or advanced practice providers, not physicians (MDs or DOs). There is a huge difference between them in terms of training and education. On one occasion, I had a severe allergic reaction to the prescribed medication from the NP on duty at this location that I would argue would not have happened if it were an MD with a lot more in depth training who treated me. I appreciated that they allowed me to return without charge, get reassessed, and receive a different medication after the episode. The clinical support staff are typically friendly and straightforward.

I know what I needed to be treated with as I’ve had it happen several times. Though I’m new to the area I still know what works for a pulled muscle in my lower back from the previous clinics I’ve gone to. I told the guy what works, a steroid, non narcotic muscle relaxer( I don’t like my head cloudy) and an anti inflammatory. He explained they don’t have the muscle relaxer but could prescribe the pills which I didn’t want bc the reason above but the other would each be $55, I said no problem. The next guy came in to administer one shot, the steroid, and I said there’s supposed to be 2 one more for inflammation and he says this can reduce inflammation too though I know I just heard the PA say EACH implying BOTH were coming. I walked out of there with a prescription I can’t eat but once right before bed which is pointless, a steroid shot that did absolutely nothing feeling the exact same today as I did yestrday with no relief out almost $200. A better way to handle it would have been to order the medicine they say they didn’t have or even say ok well we can’t treat here’s your money back instead selling me fluff that didn’t work just to get the money. I would have gladly drove. Up another clinic to get the relief I needed. Very poor one sided service

Everyone was amazing. Registered on their iPad, text message to do my registration, took a out 5 minutes. My name was called in less that 5 minutes of filling out my phone paperwork. I went in to get my weight & blood pressure. The guy was nice and pleasant. He guided me to the room to wait for the dr.y dr came in discussed everything from from my blood pressure to what could of caused my pain. We discussed the medication I was already taking and what she could prescribe that would work well with my current meds. This place is a 10 outta 10. I was in and out within 30 minutes with great personal service. Noth8ng felt rush which is a 10 in my book. Thank you AFC TEAM, for helping me feel better.
