This place is the epitome of horrible health care . I was flabbergasted at how unprofessional and unkind some health care workers were. I waited in the lobby with my children for a while worried about my husband . The health care workers at the front desk for check in were very understanding and attentive . It was the health care workers in the bad. I asked one lady who appeared to be a nurse was very dismissive and rude .She looked angry and extremely annoyed that I even addressed her. The lady from the front desk went to check on how long it would take for the nurse to come and escort me and my children to the back to see my husband. Another lady who was nice said me and my children could proceed to the room my husband was in. We walked and then didn’t see the room he was in. I asked a health care professional who was on my right hand side sitting arrive nursing station . It was a gentleman who was very pleasant that he went above and beyond and walked us to the room so we didn’t get lost. Minutes later security came in the room asking if we needed a wheelchair and that someone reported that we were roaming around the hospital which was a completely false accusation. She said she seen we came straight to the room and didn’t see us roaming around . Horrendously false accusation in a hospital is simply unacceptable and disgusting. I would never suggest my husband ever return here even though it is right by our house. I would travel to a facility where they have all staff and health care professionals give superb service .This is the profession they have chose where people come to get treatment when feeling their worst . At the very least you will expect them to sympathize and remain professional at all times . The gentleman who is originally from Syracuse New York was amazing and all the other staff members should take note of his whole persona. New York treatment at its best he gave .

I visited this facility last night at around 10PM, and I am honestly still shocked by how I was treated. I came in already feeling physically sick with a virus, but I was also dealing with a lot mentally and was sobbing uncontrollably when I walked through the door. I was clearly visibly distressed. The short African American male receptionist at the front desk did not acknowledge my emotional state whatsoever. He immediately went straight into paperwork and collecting my information without even asking if I was okay. I understand that healthcare workers see a lot of patients, but basic empathy should never be optional. Later, he returned with a tablet for me to complete paperwork and made two incredibly inappropriate comments. First, he said he was suspicious that I came in for flu symptoms and asked if I had been assaulted because of how much I was crying. That alone was shocking. I had mentioned that my boyfriend had recently tested positive for the flu and lives 2,000 miles away, so I assumed I might have the same thing. I ended up not having flu A, but that is beside the point. What truly crossed the line was when he asked me, word for word, “How does your man put up with you like that? Being so emotional?” I was in complete shock. Who asks someone in visible distress something like that? I responded “I don’t know” because I genuinely didn’t know how to react. I mentioned that I am an anxious and emotional person in general. He then followed up with, “How do you not know how he puts up with it?” He proceeded to tell me about his ex-girlfriend who had anxiety and said that whenever she broke down, he would just stare at her. He also mentioned a coworker crying recently and continued speaking in a way that showed a complete lack of empathy. This is healthcare. Patients come in vulnerable, scared, and unwell. I expect compassion and professionalism, not judgmental and inappropriate personal commentary. The female nurse who treated me was the only kind and supportive person I encountered, and I truly appreciate her care. She was professional and compassionate. Additionally, the doctor entered the room without test results and asked me, “Who did it?” which left me confused and concerned, as if there were issues with how swabs were performed. That question felt unprofessional and alarming. I never received the receptionist’s name, but I will be contacting management because this experience was deeply upsetting. No patient in distress should ever be spoken to that way.

I have never met such kind and caring ER doctors and staff. My husband and I came in around midnight and I was immediately triaged and given care within minutes of arrival. Everyone we met treated us with humanity and made sure we were comfortable during an extremely difficult time. I was in so much pain, and they were so attentive, making sure that they got me the medicines I needed without giving us some run-around. They came in and checked in regularly to make sure I was feeling better and to explain all of my options clearly. They made a traumatic experience so much more bearable and I will be forever grateful.

It was amazing experience! They even called a zTrip to take me back home. The nurse, PA, MA, front desk was so so, but better than ACC MA, for sure. UF needs a lot of costumer service, a lot. And work on to speed the results in the patient chart. Went to ACC xday: experience was not that good I had a test done on x day waiting for a result to go back to work- results came the following x monday at 10 am. Not okay for any patient that relay in medical documentation. ( i am immune compromise on active treatment) that experience was awful but this experience ! 20 out 10!!!! Way to go team!!!!

Thank you, UF Health Emergency. I want to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible care I received. From the moment I arrived, I felt supported, respected, and truly cared for. The doctors and medical staff are not only highly professional, but also amazing human beings. Their kindness, patience, and compassion made a difficult moment much easier for me. Thank you for treating me not just as a patient, but as a person. I will always be thankful for your dedication and humanity.
