I was having extremely bad jaw pain and I was able to schedule a same day appointment within 1 hr as a new patient. This is a huge plus because when you are in excruciating pain, you don't want to be driving around to different urgent cares just to be turned away. Prior to my appointment with OhanaMed, I had a 5pm appointment with minuteclinic. Which they jumped on the virtual called to decline me for my insurance which they had taken before. This time they told me I had to go in-person not virtually. But the closest open minuteclinic was only was in Aiea & Wahiawa Kyile was amazing!!! Really easy to talk to, listened attentively, and not judgemental. He actually cared and wanted to help me feel better. He asked questions other drs/APRN's hadn't, which helped get me the right prescriptions for my situation. He explained detail what the prescriptions were and the side effects. He called my prescriptions in to a cvs near by. From the start of booking my appointment to picking up my medication, was done within 2 hrs. He even called the next morning to check in on me which I truly appareciate. I highly recommend OhanaMed Virtual Care!

I had a really positive experience with Ohanamed Virtual Urgent Care while living on Kauai. When you’re on the local islands, getting quick medical care isn’t always easy, so having access to virtual urgent care in Hawaii is such a relief. The appointment was easy to book and I was seen quickly. The provider was kind, attentive, and took the time to explain everything clearly. It felt good knowing I could get quality care without having to travel or sit in a crowded clinic. I truly appreciate having a service like Ohanamed available for Kauai and the neighbor islands, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, caring telehealth in Hawaii.

It's around 7:00 pm when I'm winding down after a long day, and I suddenly feel my ear close up on me and pain start to radiate through my jaw and temple—the worst ear ache of my life. I know it's an old problem, and I'm not about to wait for it to become an upper respiratory infection again. After a few minutes of fussing, I realize how late it is, and I start to panic thinking whether or not I'll be able to find an urgent care clinic open nearby. I have two options at this point: drive like a bat out of hell, or slam my head into the wall and knock myself out until tomorrow morning. Thank you OhanaMed! I was able to get a virtual evaluation scheduled for 8:30 pm that same night with Kyle Nefzger. By 9 pm I was at my closest pharmacy picking up a cocktail of antibiotics and steroids for my ear infection, along with a refill for my inhaler. Very warm, yet concise appointment. Provider made great suggestions to provide faster relief and took my problem seriously. Went above and beyond to make sure I was completely taken care of. Best of all, I didn't have to drag my sick butt out of the house to an emergency room/urgent care clinic in the middle of the night. 11/10, would schedule again.

Yesterday I needed a quick diagnosis and decided to try a virtual visit for the first time—and I’m glad I did. I booked an online appointment and, in less than an hour, had a phone consultation with Kyle Nefzger. He immediately sent my prescription to a nearby pharmacy and even followed up with a check-in call this morning. I told him I was already feeling much better and on the road to recovery. The entire experience was seamless. No driving through Honolulu traffic, no searching for parking, no waiting rooms, no lines. From consultation to picking up my medication, everything was done in under two hours—all from the convenience of my office. Went home after picking up my meds. Hydrated, rest, and let the process work. I did pay out of pocket for the visit since Kyle mentioned they’re currently in the process of accepting insurance (expected by the end of the month), but honestly, the convenience alone made it well worth it. I’ll be submitting it to my insurance for reimbursement anyway. Bottom line: If it’s not a major emergency, I highly recommend checking out OhanaMed. Fast, professional, and stress-free care done right.

Found OhanaMed while scrolling through my options and it was amazing! I absolutely hate leaving my house (even for medical appointments and emergencies), hate when I have to wait long past my appt times, plus the urgent cares around me tonight all closed at ~7, so I tried OhanaMed and will definitely do it again. Kyle, the Nurse Practitioner, was super quick and friendly!
