McKenzie Woyak 2 weeks agoI have had the unfortunate experience of having to use physicians immediate care several times. They are the only in-network urgent care facilites through my insurance and that is the ONLY reason I would ever go back. Though that may not even be worth it with the way the price gouge and have predatory billing practices. Most of the time the providers are fine, though occassionally it's subpar. When I have to go here I have to mentally prepare myself for the stress and frustration of what is to come after my visit
Effie M 2 months agoThis clinic does not know how to compentantly serve trans people (which makes it very funny to me that Google Maps marks it as LGBT+ friendly). If you're trans, please consider going elsewhere. Their standard forms (at least when I registered as a new patient) only had an option for sex assigned at birth and not one for gender identity or pronouns, nor one for preferred name, leading to multiple instances of providers being visibly or audibly confused/surprised by my gender presentation (ex: assuming I was a completely different patient, asking me more confirmation questions on the phone than they did for my cis partner, going "huh..... Ok" when I confirmed I was who I said I was). As medical providers, you should be expected to treat all your patients equally. Visibly/audibly expressing shock and confusion and disbelief when a patient doesn't look or sound how you assumed they would, based on their sex marker or legal name, is unprofessional and frankly just rude. In my case, I believe this confusion would've been avoided if you just included simple gender/pronouns/preferred name fields in your intake forms, which have become the industry standard. But even then, though, that wouldn't stop providers from having the same unprofessional interactions with gender non-conforming people. There should be comprehensive training on how to care for for trans and gender non-conforming people in a respectful manner, or at least one consistent with how I've seen them treat cis people. Additionally, my partner and I went to the clinic at the same time for similar tests. When we got identical results, we were told two completely different treatment plans with no explanation why. My partner was told it was nothing to worry about, while I was told I needed medication and to take significant precautions, despite us both receiving the same results. Obviously, this did not inspire confidence in their treatment plan, and I will likely be consulting my PCP for a second opinion. For any trans/gnc people reading this, I've been recommended Howard Brown for testing, if that's what you're looking for. And for anything else, I'd recommend trying a different urgent care clinic if possible. Now that I have my cis partners' experiences to directly compare against, I can confidently say that this place treats trans people differently in a way that feels not only uncomfortable but incompetent. This location had been the most convenient clinic for me by far, but because of everything discussed above, I won't be returning.
Margaret R 8 months agoUPDATE: they never responded to my email after requesting I reach out! Scammers!!!! FRAUD! SCAMMERS! I would rate 0 stars if I could. When I was seen in August, the person at the front desk had a hard time getting my insurance to go through. It took multiple tries but it eventually went through and I paid the co-pay before I was seen. Fast forward to October, they send a bill for $286.00 to the policy holder on my insurance. The bill was not itemized and I have no idea what they could've charged me for besides the co-pay that was already paid! They gave me a covid test even though I already told them I had taken a covid test that morning, which was negative. The policy holder called in and gave them our insurance information. They proceeded to charge my card WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION and without using my insurance. This is FRAUD! They proceeded to tell me that I am not in network, but my insurance works for ANY urgent care. I would have never come here if they did not take my insurance. Before I was seen, it was confirmed that they take it. However, I have given it to them three times and now they are saying that they don't. They told me that I have to call my insurance and make them talk to them. This is a waste of time for all parties. The documents you sign before being seen authorize them to overcharge you for services that should be covered by the copay. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT A HEADACHE AND TO BE SCAMMED!!!!!!!
Shivonna Thomas 3 months agoLiterally came 10 minutes before my appointment, was seen immediately, entire visit was less than 20 minutes. Staff was amazing, doctor was amazing & I literally told all my friends & family they need to start going here. Would definitely recommend for any urgent care needs, also my results came back fast and detailed I was very impressed with their service.
Sophia Saykawlard 2 months agoPA Childress was my provider and took the time to actively listen to my symptoms even though he had a ton of patients that day. Clearly he is very educated and passionate about his job. i appreciate healthcare workers who have to deal with all of the issues within the healthcare system, difficult patients, and being overworked. I hope he knows that he made a difference for me and I wish him the best for the rest of his hopefully long and fruitful career! Thanks blake!
