UPDATE TO PREVIOUS 5 STAR REVIEW: WellNow charged me $60 when I went in with my insurance. I expressed at the time that I didn't think that was right, but I paid it because I wasn't sure. I later confirmed with my insurance that my copay was only $40. I called WellNow billing, who told me the amount I was charged was only an estimate and I would have to wait about a month to receive a bill from WellNow and then call back in again to request a refund. This is completely UNACCEPTABLE. Having my insurance, WellNow had no reason not to know what my proper copay was. Overcharge me, hope I won't question, earn interest on my money while I wait for a refund for the overcharge. This is the kind of thing that results in class action lawsuits! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Made an appointment online and got in a room at my scheduled time. Only disadvantage was I then waited 40 minutes to be seen. Marissa, who did the triage was very friendly. Caitlyn Trierweiler, PA, was EXCEPTIONAL! She listened to me, took my opinions into account and even helped me with an issue other than what I went in for. Highest possible rating!

Check in was quick & painless with a minimum amount of questions from Elizabeth & Rachel. My DL & insurance card were sufficient. My visit was quick & pleasant. Miranda & I discussed football along with diagnosis. Best medical visit I think I’ve ever experienced!

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. My experience at WellNow Urgent Care on Emerson Avenue was extremely unprofessional from start to finish. I walked in without an appointment after injuring my hand the day before. The front-desk staff handed me a tablet to sign in again, not that she needed to fill it out for me, but she sat there the entire time without offering any assistance. After checking in, I was taken to a room that looked dirty and poorly maintained, with stains on the floor and even a pillow thrown in the back corner. It did not look cleaned or prepared for any patient. I waited about an hour before a doctor came in. She never introduced herself, never made eye contact, and barely looked at my injury. As I tried to explain what happened, her cell phone rang. She answered with “Hey girl,” then told me to “hold on” and walked out leaving the door wide open. Minutes later, an assistant popped in to tell me the doctor was “in a business meeting” and would return shortly. Meanwhile, I could clearly hear staff in the hallway cussing and chatting, completely unprofessional in a medical setting. When the doctor finally returned, she simply said she would cover the wound. I asked if she was sure my fingers weren’t broken, and she responded, “Oh yeah, you can wiggle them,” even though she never actually properly examined them. She wrapped my hand and sent me on my way. This was truly the worst urgent care experience I have ever had—unbelievable lack of care, cleanliness, and professionalism. I will never return and would not recommend this location to anyone.

Called to get my elderly mother in for a X-ray of her rib and toe after a fall. Called in advance to make sure they would see her and they had the equipment to X-ray her. She could walk perfectly fine on her own. Long story short went to check her in and they said just a moment, the receptionist came back and said the provider said to go to the ER, they would not see her. That is discrimination and I will be filing a complaint with Indy.gov and the Indiana Department of Insurance.

I had an amazing experience at WellNow!! They had to close early due to staffing shortages and told me they had to reschedule my appointment to earlier in the day. I rushed over from work and they saw me right away with huge smiles. Kiyane and Sarah were both AMAZING!! I continuously apologized for being late with work traffic and they were so kind and got me the help I needed right away without making me feel bad about being late. They helped me get the steroids. I needed to feel better and even gave me a doctors note so I could get back to work without any worries. I just had a very good experience with people who clearly love their jobs and want to help make people feel better in a genuine way.
