Casey Kline 6 months agoWould give no stars if possible! My mother in laws doctor sent her to er to hopefully get a CT and bone marrow test. 7 hours after being told the CT was stat we are still waiting, no pain med. Lovely hallway bed where I got to see a man jacking off for an hour, another man in the bed next to us in the hall pissing in a bottle. Shoes, clothes, hats, pillows on the floor. Vitals were taken only when n triage. We are leaving and will go somewhere else. Discussing, dirty! I have always sworn by university hospital and referred everyone to here. This will be my family’s last trip here! Edit … this was university main not sure why it is showing up clinic. Update er sent her to the geriatric unit for a week the sent her to a nursing home. After 2 weeks in nursing home she was sent to Cleveland clinic within 2 hours we were told that her body was full of myeloma and she needed to start treatment asap. University never told us this just gave her pain pills and wrote her off as an unimportant old lady and sent her to die. Age discrimination at its best and we will be talking to an attorney.
Brittnee Hilbert a month agoVery rude. We were told that there were consults and specialists to deal with my husbands condition. We drove down here from Tennessee, which is a 7 hour drive desperate for answers. The attending physician was extremely rude and arrogant. We were told about coming here from Tennessee and he said “thanks for the compliment” with an arrogant smile on his face and that all they can do is “send us the bill.” Very rude and cocky telling us that he was not going to a consult for my husbands kidney disorder that has led him unable to walk. We are leaving here yet again desperate for answers.
Ehuntbsc 4 months agoDo yourself a favor and go anywhere but here. I sat in a lobby for 6 hours in excruciating pain with an Iv and vital signs done. No doctors, no nurses, no one to address the pain too. It gets worse. When I finally got a room at 8pm ( 6 hours after arrival) I was thrown in there and given a gown. It was 845pm and not a single nurse or doctor came by. I had to hit my call light to tell them I was here. Still no pain medicine. Did not see a doctor until 940pm. The nurses didn’t know how to hang fluids, collect urine sample, or draw blood from IV. The lack of cleanliness was astounding. Iv was never cleaned with alcohol between meds/flushes. Never saw a single person use hand sanitizer. Her hair was so long and not tied up it was hanging in my face as she worked above me. Someone at the desk outside the door was researching her cars value on Kelly blue book. It is 2pm the following day and I am still waiting to be admitted. This is hour 23. This care is worse than bad at a “ world renowned” facility. PLEASE go elsewhere. Please know this was for an important issue for severe pain and fevers post surgery. This was NOT something minor and I still am not a priority
Kaitlin 4 months agoThe waiting room was clean, calm, and quiet. The staff did great at handling any chaos that arised. I had a long-ish wait, but in the emergency room that’s a good thing. You never want to be the first called. Once I got called back, I was evaluated within 15 minutes. With our care plan decided, I got all appropriate tests within an hour. It was determined that I needed to be admitted and I was moved to a waiting area for a bed in the impatient ward. Unfortunately, my feeding tube wasn’t functioning, so I wasn’t able to eat anything but super soft food. One of the sweetest nurses took the time and her own money to grab my soup from Panera, so I could take my meds without getting sick. The doctors and nurses were truly some of the best people I ever dealt with in the medical profession. I hope that I never have to go back, but if I did, I know I’d be in good hands.
Raymundo Freeman 3 weeks agoThis place will leave you in pain and not care. The wait times are insane for such a “high profile” hospital. For it being Rank #3 the United States the ER has to be ranked last in the nation. So many people sit in the waiting room for hours and nothing gets done, it’s like they hope the people die or just go away. 14 hours from home and such a huge disappointment.
