B_Wick 3 weeks agoIn my 4 years of shadowing doctors 2 medical licenses and a degree I have never seen care this poor. Went in with very serious symptoms and waited for 20 minutes in the waiting room. 103 degree fever oxygen saturation below 90% and entire left side upper body pain, chills migraine and shakes. Waited for nurse to come in to take his vitals and she took them put the pulse oximetry reader on wrong and promptly left after receiving a correct reading without any discussion. Finally the doctor came in and promptly told us he was late because he'd been there since 9:00 that morning. He also told us the nurse didn't tell me yall were here. If you are unable to perform your job in an emergency setting then that is not where you belong. He told us it was potential gas buildup and said it was likely not cardiac which it has high potential for given the symptoms and severity of pain. He left and the nurse came back to begin his IV, she tied the tourniquet upside down leaving the tail flaps in her way in his antecubital area where she needed to stick the vein. When she inserted the needle she pried up against his vein causing severe pain. Very poor quality needle stick. She left her space a mess and left without discussion. As his symptoms continued to worsen we requested pain killers or anything to help with his condition. She insisted she did not trust her first IV attempt and insisted we redo it. We asked if there was anything we could do orally or right now to deal with the pain and she insisted she could not do anything. This nurses name is: India. The doctor only came in and told us "That's really weird" and essentially nothing more. Genuinely never been more frustrated with the quality of care a practice has provided. Went to another hospital and told the nurse what we were told and the triage nurse responded: "Excuse me but a physician told you This was just gas?"
lea devani davila 2 months agowent in at 9:30pm on 4/20. of course they were gonna be busy. they were super sweet and welcoming though, i didn’t mind waiting. dr. hoang greeted me immediately, seemed excited when i said i had an abscess that needed to be drained. it made me feel validated off the bat and also kind of excited myself because i was initially extremely anxious. dr. hoang had phenomenal bedside manner and i was at ease during my entire procedure (it was a very uncomfortable butt abscess.) he kept checking up on my pain and made sure i was comfortable. every staff member was so chill and friendly. great team here. i drove further than necessary and passed a couple other ERs that were available to be seen at ER of Watauga. gut feeling. i’m glad i did. you get excellent care here.
Cody Kelchner a month agoI had a really great experience at the ER of Watauga. I came in with severe tooth pain and was miserable, but the staff helped me quickly and treated me with so much kindness from start to finish. Everyone was professional, compassionate, and made the whole process much less stressful. I really appreciated how fast they got me seen and how genuinely caring everyone was. Highly recommend if you need emergency care!
Phoenix Ledet 4 months agoChecked in and receptionist was so nice and got me checked in quickly. Once in my room I was warmly greeted by my nurse India and then Dr. Li. They treated me with kindness and compassion. They were so efficient and thorough. They kept me to observe me and there was a shift change and the service of Dr. Elsakka and nurse Joe, was awesome. They made sure that I was ok before discharging me. They even did a follow up call once I was home and the Dr wanted to check in on me. I loved their service. They were extremely knowledgeable and so helpful. I want to thank everyone with the exceptional care they provided to me.
