!!!!!!IF FEMALE DONT GO TO DR ALHESSI!!!!!! The staff are usually very nice, aside once the security guard was very rude while I was out of breath and about to collapse. I walk with a cane, the building is extremely not disability friendly as they took me to the wrong building and I had to walk way more than I could handle. I was confused and in pain and the security guard said and I quote "Well you SHOULD know" when I told him I wasn't sure how to pronounce the doctor's name. It's worth noting this was my first visit and had not heard the doctor's name said verbally yet (I also have a speech impediment) On that note, if you are female do NOT go to Dr. Alhessi here. Very rude, did not listen to me at all. I was able to switch doctors thankfully, I'm not sure why they didn't offer me a female doctor in the first place. I told him I recently moved to this state away from my cobtrolking abusive family who withheld all medical related stuff from me and I had no idea about history due to this. I had to tell him this THREE times. By the fourth, I snapped at him. He treated me very different after this appointment. He did not listen to me at all, wasting resources to do tests I told him not to do (Lupus test). I finally asked him to refer me to a rheumatologist, he explicitly told me no saying quote "I am not going to do that because you do not need it" Alongside listening problems, Dr Alhessi also seems to have a very MAJOR flaw when it comes to interrupting people. I barely ever got to tell him anything because he would constantly interrupt me, whether it was to refuse a service or correct me or ask a question I already answered. My health has been deteriorating more and more, the only thing this doctor did was prescribe me vitamin D pills, after I told him I've had a chronic severe pain my entire life. He did not take me seriously and treated me like I was very stupid and did not know my own body. I moved here over a year ago and I still have yet to be diagnosed properly due to Dr Alhessi's unprofessionalism, which has lead to more physical and mental health issues then I had prior.

These people have the worst care for pregnant black women i have been experiencing too many complications with Froedtert even though I’ve seen a provider through Froedtert and might I add from the moorland center location by the name of merryman my 2 year old was yelled at my appointment was super late and rushed the dr was unpleasant I wrote a review their response was to reach out to patient relations even though I already had previously reached out to them and left a message for the lack of care I was receiving via phone getting hung up on when I’m upset because they kept sending me off in circles just to get this same nausea medication no one even called back to follow up and whenever you do call that number the line is always busy and you’ll be told to leave a message that they will never respond to or resolve your complaints I am constantly denied of medications to help with my nausea when I’ve been taking these medications but instead of making sure I had everything I need like a maternity belt medications the nurse Erin at this location calling me just so she can say their favorite word “Unfortunately “ that’s their favorite word to tell a pregnant patient who’s black she can’t send over a nausea prescription I’ve been taking and need even when I went through hell seeing the dr at the Moreland center constantly pressed asking me about termination every time I come to Froedtert for prenatal care like do they treat their patients of diff races this way as well? I am sick of Froedtert ! I’m going somewhere else because I will never receive quality care from them they will not improve their services and care these drs and nurses treat you any ok kind of way!

Front desk staff can be rude/unwelcoming, but the facilities are clean and the medical staff are efficient and kind.

Today, I had a very pleasant experience when I went to the lab at the Froedtert McKinley Health Center. Della (Lab) greeted me warmly, pleasantly, and was such a professional. I did not feel anything whatsoever when she inserted the needle to draw my blood. And, since I had been fasting for 12+ hours. Afterwards, Della made sure that I was okay and gave me apple juice and cookies.

Nobody wants to be unhealthy. But, if you are hurting, you minus well seek out providers who can empathize with your pain and are invested in accelerating your recovery. Every provider- doctors, MAs, PTs, PTAs, front desk- I have ever seen here has been incredibly understanding, kind, and compassionate DESPITE my occasional lack of patience due to the pains of life. I love that McKinley is accessible by public transit (as someone who previously didn't have access to a car) and they have adequate validated parking (free for patients). I love that preventative care, imaging, lab work, and some specialties (OB/GYN, orthopedics) are all under one roof. I love that they always give you post-care instructions and documentation electronically and physically (if requested) so that those of us with limited working memories can easily access what we need online! I love that the entire facility is ridiculously clean and updated, with plenty of seating space and good wifi (I've responded to lengthy emails in the waiting room much more than I'd like to admit). Only cons? Your medical bill (if your insurance sucks, Froedtert is not a cheap place to receive care), and corporatized Healthcare (scheduling via any method other than in-person is the worst. they have a broken phone tree, where you can be left on hold with a robotic assistant for 30+ minutes, and you can't schedule most medical appointments online). Certain providers are booked out for months, so plan ahead. Additionally, though I personally do not mind, be aware that Froedtert is a teaching hospital system, so healthcare students can be present at a lot of appointments. Despite the scheduling headache, I hope to continue seeking care at McKinley so long as my providers do not quit :)
