07.31.25 10am Valley Health Center Bascom Emergency Room Checked in promptly, even the fellow Asian Hawaiian surfer looking gentleman waiting in line ahead of us let us go in front of him though I told him we'd wait our turn, but he kindly placed his hand on mom's sort of limp arm in the wheelchair and told us to go in first. Thank you to this lovely man. He led up to the fantastic experience we had here at Valley health Center ER. At check in, a very tall young Asian man helped us find a difficult to locate spare wheelchair, he looked all over but got one for us from A2, thank you to him! ER Valet staff were just lovely in understanding the extremely long wait time in finding a wheelchair and letting us wait in front until staff found one for us. Check in Lady at 1st Cubicle was so caring and concerned for mom she was very quick to get us checked in and seen immediately. She was wonderful. Attending Physician Dr. Pranjal B. Gupta and his entire team (of about 8-9 different doctors, residents, RNs and LCNs) were SO amazing, they were better than Stanford ER and worked cohesively, they didn't waste 1 minute of time and were incredibly efficient it was better than live action TV Show ER. They checked Mom physically, got her vitals, got all blood & IV transfusions started, hooked her up to monitoring devices, got her lab work, X-rays, Ultrasounds, full body CTs done immediately, had her seen by Urology, Orthopedic Surgery and right into stent surgery, all this within 4.5 hrs. Back a month ago at Stanford ER after a fall Mom was waiting for CTs for 6 hrs and STILL couldn't have them done being 1st in line due to urgent transports having to have CTs first (which we totally understood) and checked herself out before waiting any further, then came to VHC Bascom where she had CTs done and they found 3 rib fractures. Dr. Gupta did his Internship, Residency & Fellowship all at Stanford as well as having graduated with his MD from Johns Hopkins. I'm sorry, but it DID matter in this case as Dr. Gupta has to be the most thorough doctor I have ever come across, EVER. We are truly grateful to him and his knowledge and ability at intuitive decision making on the spot so wherever this doctor chooses to end up in his career his patients will be VERY LUCKY to have him as their physician. Mom is still in ICU and I will update in her recovery. She is there due to a kidney stone having lodged/stuck in her ureter, it became infected, it also caused her urine to back up near her kidneys and became septic, this caused her to have disoriented syncope and fall causing 5-6 rib fractures, a clavicle fracture, and inability to hold water down = vomiting nonstop = dehydration = extreme low blood pressure= hypoxia. Urologist, and Stanford Clinical Associate Professor, Dr. Christopher Elliott, MD, PhD, surgically placed a stent in her ureter with no complications and will in a few weeks surgically remove the stuck kidney stone, via her urethra so no incisions, we were told by Resident Dr. Tommy Jiang! We cannot thank Dr. Elliott enough. ***08.06.25 Feet, ankles, legs, tummy still swollen from bacterial infection. Swelling from face, neck, arms & chest reduced greatly.

I’ve been waiting at Urgent Care for three hours since I checked in, and I’m still waiting. They don’t give any estimate of when your turn will be, so I can’t even step out to grab something to eat.

Shajuana and the rest of the staff are awesome here. I had to come twice this week to urgent care for two separate issues and was seen promptly and treated with amazing care. Super friendly staff, the doctors both listened to my concerns and were able to get me in and out without a super long wait time. Definitely come right at opening or during “normal” working hours as I am sure they are busy after “normal” working hours if you want a quick visit :)

07.31.25 Mom had sepsis from a stuck kidney stone in her urethra causing her syncope and subsequent fall resulting in 5 broken ribs and a broken left clavicle. ER Physician Dr. Pranjal B. Gupta, MD was outstanding and super efficient. We thank Dr. Gupta and his entire team and all staff for their amazing care in assessing Mom so well and with such hasty speed. God bless you all, we will always be grateful to you all who I know are underappreciated, overworked, and never given enough gratitude that you all deserve.

My mom had pain when she walk. I took her here and we got checked out with Dr. Steven Do. My mom got X-ray and from the images, Dr. Do let us know the issues and we went home after that. Overall the express care staff are very kind and helpful. From desk receptionist , X-ray technician, staff loan me thể wheelchair and Dr. Do. For us the times we check in and went home about 4 hour. Thank you everyone.
