I went to Urgent Care at Lake Plaza this morning to get medical attention for my chest infection. I was the first one there and was greeted warmly by the female receptionist. I then checked in with the male staff member who was courteous, professional and respectful. I then was escorted to the exam room by the medical assistant who was kind, attentive, polite and respectful. She told me her name and the name of the HCP that was going to see me but unfortunately I don’t remember her name! I saw the NP, she was an excellent provider and prescribed all the necessary medications and care that I needed. I highly recommend this clinic. This was my third visit in 3 years.

Everyone was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They all seemed truly interested in what I was concerned about and what I was feeling. My time in the waiting area was less than five minutes. After the nurse took all my vital signs and comparing all my medical history with what they have in their system V weight for the doctor to come in, was again less than five minutes.

I’ve had my fair share of medical experience over my years as a chronically ill person. Urgent care is much safer for someone like me due to hospital admissions/waiting etc I went in last night absolutely miserable. The front desk was able to get me checked in quickly and explained everything for me. The nurse I had was so spunky and kind. The star of the show was definitely Dr. Lockett; she walked in and remembered me from the last time I was there several months prior. She addressed my concerns thoroughly and kindly and got me on my way in a reasonable time. If all doctors listened and cared like she does there would be way less medical trauma. Thank you to the office and staff for being a quality place to seek care!

If I could give zero stars, I would. A couple of days ago my husband basically had to carry me into this ER because I was in severe pain, crying, and could barely walk. I was wearing pajamas and clinging to him, begging for help. Before I was even properly evaluated, the two women at the front desk immediately told me they would not be giving me pain medication. At no point did I ask for pain medication. I have never abused pain medication and have never been accused of drug-seeking behavior. To be judged and treated that way before even being assessed was humiliating and incredibly upsetting. People come to an ER at some of the worst moments of their lives. They deserve compassion, dignity, and basic respect. I left and went to the emergency room in Fountain by Black Bear Diner instead, where I was treated with kindness and respect. If this experience is not representative of your standards, then something needs to be addressed because no patient should be treated this way.

Dr. Lockett was wonderful helping treat my daughter. Very kind, patient, and understanding with kids. Made us feel comfortable, explained everything clearly, and showed genuine care. We appreciated the positive experience and compassion. The whole team from start to finish . Thank you.
