If I could give zero stars I would. This was the worst medical office admin I have experienced. The reception was so rude, she couldn’t verify my insurance even though we submitted the night before. I was also a patient previously before they switched to Close knit, to make it even more obvious about incompetence my husband has visited a different location of CloseKnit just two weeks before with no issues. Same insurance. The receptionist told me within 1 minute of being in the office that I shouldn’t tell “her how to do her job” when I only said that my insurance is a ppo out of state so needs to be documented as such. I legitimately only said it because it’s a common occurrence. Then she told me I had to call my insurance she was not going to help. I call my insurance and while im on hold with them she comes into the waiting room and yells at me again. I had my mask on the entire time the entire time and only had it off while trying to talk to the insurance company (no other patients were in the room). The receptionist then barged into the doctors side of the office and I could hear screaming about me saying I didn’t have a mask. Another lie. The doctor then screamed back at her about patient eligibility etc. it was just such an awful experience. The people here clearly hate their jobs. Please don’t go here. I’m now at medstar urgent care where they just fixed my insurance within 30 seconds because it had to be documented at care first because it was an out of state ppo. Literally a 30 second fix

Came here for care several times over almost a year to get treatment for one particular reccuring issues. Support staff were good, but the physicians completely failed to address my issue and according to my new PCP they prescribed an irresponsible amount/severity of antibiotics. Cant recommend this place for anything other than blood draws or vaccines.

I was excited to find another PCP option in Navy Yard, CloseKnit, after a frustrating experience trying to book with MedStar. On Thursday, May 7th, I called MedStar because their website kept rejecting my appointment request, only to be told they were no longer accepting new patients and the website just hadn’t been updated yet. So I went through my insurance company’s directory specifically searching for DOCTORS (MDs/DOs), not NPs or PAs, who were accepting new patients nearby. To my surprise, Dr. Rosie Yang, DO at CloseKnit Navy Yard had an opening just two days later at 9:00 AM on a Saturday. Knowing how rare new-patient PCP appointments are, especially in this area, I booked it immediately. The day before the appointment, yesterday, I received a text instructing me to arrive 15 minutes early. I arrived as requested, but the front desk experience was underwhelming from the start. I handed over my ID and insurance card and was told, “I’ll check you in at 9.” Confused, I asked why I had been instructed to arrive early if check-in couldn’t happen until 9. The receptionist responded, “I don’t know why you got that message. I don’t get here until 8:45. The system doesn’t allow me to check patients in until 9 and the doctor doesn’t even get here until then either.” At 9:03, I was brought back for vitals. The medical assistant then said, “Dr. Shumuel will be with you shortly.” Confused again, I explained that I had specifically scheduled with Dr. Yang. I was then told Dr. Yang wasn’t working that weekend and alternates weekends, so there must have been a scheduling mix-up. No big deal. Right?! Things happen. But when I asked whether “Dr. Shumuel” was an MD or DO because I specifically booked with a physician things went down hill. It turned out he was actually a PA—not a doctor, despite being repeatedly referred to as “Dr.” by staff, which I found extremely misleading. The medical assistant apologized and said she would check with the front desk. I joined because I wanted an explanation too. The receptionist simply repeated that there must have been a scheduling issue. I explained that I had chosen this appointment specifically because Dr. Yang was a physician with strong reviews and a convenient location. The receptionist then informed me Dr. Yang’s next available appointment wasn’t until June. At that point, I declined. What made the experience especially disappointing was that she didn't attempt to help resolve the situation, no offer to schedule me with another MD/DO in the practice, no meaningful apology, and no sense of accountability for the mix-up. To add to the confusion, there’s also no clear signage indicating CloseKnit; the office still says “AllCare Primary” and the address isn't noticeable. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. Between the misleading scheduling, poor communication, lack of transparency about provider credentials, and indifferent customer service, I would not recommend this practice

Dr. Yang was wonderful! I feel like it’s pretty rare to find a PCP that you like and she was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in answering my questions. I would recommend her to anyone :)

I had an appointment yesterday and had a very positive experience. The doctor, Rosie Yang, quickly and accurately diagnosed my issue. Even though I originally scheduled the visit for foot pain, she also took the time to address my coughing and made sure that was taken care of as well. I appreciated how thorough and attentive she was.
