MedStar Health: Urgent Care at Capitol Hill

No paper on the table. I have never seen that before. Appointment was for 2:50, saw the PA at 5:30. PA was fine but way too long a wait. Staff kept telling people to be patient because they have 2 providers. If that is under staffed, why schedule so many appointments? Sitting in a facility where sick people come for far longer than necessary is not healthy.

Lanaya Holmes was there at the MedStar Urgent Center on Saturday March 7, 2026 and she was very satisfied with the care she received and so was her grandma / my adopted mother . Thank for the awesome 👏🏽 serve as always . Thank you 🙏🏽 God Bless

I came in for an issue with my leg and was carted off by ambulance to the ER due to shortness of breath. Ms Alyce McKenzie was phenomenal! She recognized a serious issue and didn’t waste a moment to make sure I received the treatment I needed. Even when I was being a little hesitant about the ambulance, she made sure I understood the necessity of it. Because of her expeditious thinking, I am home resting and ever so thankful that she was the angel I needed that morning. Bless you my dear! I wish all my visits could be as efficient. Staff is very pleasant and professional. However, some of the exam rooms were cold so checking to see how patients feel would be nice since the wait could be long. Also requiring that patients have ear buds when using phones so as not to disturb others and keep volume low during conversstions. But overall a good experience.

I had a wonderful experience here! I made an appointment the night before and was able to get in at noon. I only waited 5-10 minutes before being seen. The doctor took her time and listened to me. She even went to get a second opinion to make sure the treatment she was proposing was the best option for my situation. I normally feel so rushed and passed along at urgent care but here I felt listened to and like the providers really cared about the best possible solution for me.
