karina k 9 months agoFree Parking, friendly staff, and the doctor was very kind and thorough and explained things and answered our questions, the medical staff who took vitals and helped with the initial supportive treatment was very kind and hard working, and receptionist was hard working and did the paperwork efficiently. We came from out of town on vacation and had an injury and they were so kind and warm to us and generous with things we needed to be ok that night. We thank you so much for the compassionate and caring help coming all the way from Chicago Illinois.
Corinne Shinn 5 months agoI called Queens Island Urgent Care Pearl Kai to see if I could get an appt. The person directed me to call another number to make a virtual appt. No problem. I called and got virtual appt within the next hour. Everything went well. Got an appt for some testing for Covid, flu, strep for 5pm. The registration clerk purposefully made it later so that I would not be late for the tests. As it was, I arrived early. Expecting to be received within 20 minutes, but after 40 minutes (felt like an eternity when sick) went by, I approached the check-in desk to see how much longer I would have to wait. He told me that there were 6 patients before me! I couldn’t believe it. All I wanted was my test completed. I didn’t have to see a doctor as I already had my tele-visit. I was ready to rescheduled my testing. I definitely was not going to wait another hour or two for a test that would take less than 5 minutes. This person went to the back to check with someone and 5 minutes later he called me in and sat me in a room. A nurse came in, swabbed my throat and nose, and in ONE minute I was done. What could have taken less than 5 minutes took an hour. I don’t know why I had to wait so long and why my appt time was not honored. In theory Queens Urgent Care’s virtual visits are great. However, if all parties such as Pearl Kai is not onboard the process will be a failure.
Ling Rita 5 months ago1. Wait time is usually long. Even with 2-3 people in line. At least an hour wait so be ready for it. 2. Dr. gave me the Wrong medication that cause my symptoms worsen for days. I went to another clinic to get better care and Dr. at the other clinic told me that the medicine I was taking that cause my symptoms worsen. 3. Front desk was rude and unhelpful. So if you feeling really sick and don’t want to waste your time and money, go to other place instead people!
Usman Syed 7 months agoThe clinic staff will deny you care 30 minutes before closing eventhough they are getting getting paid to see patients. Had a laceration on my foot. I arrived at 7:40pm and they stated that they stop taking patients in at 7:30pm. 5 minutes later a patient was taken in due to a bump on their head. The front desk admin simply did not want to check me in even though they were still open. The admin is an hypocrite and she understands that she is.
Jana Purdy 3 months agoFront desk refused to check in my sibling because I was not “legal guardian”. This never happens with other urgent cares or different appointments. I thought I’d try Queens Pearl Kai because of how close it was at the time, but I guess they have very unique regulations. Usually all is needed in this type of case is ID, patient info, verbal consent from legal guardian, and payment information. The way that one girl was speaking to me really thought I was stupid enough to fully believe her lol.. Nope I just didn’t want to cause a scene and I’m not the type to waste my time and energy arguing with a wall. So just a heads up, if you plan to take your sibling to this specific urgent care, it doesn’t matter if you’re 30 or even 60, you need to have power of attorney in order to check them in. Nearest one that will take in anyone is Adventist Health Pearl City. So go there instead. Just have to fill out paper work and they will call whoever they need to call for verbal consent. I hope this saves you folks gas, time, and patience. Aloha :)
