I appreciated having the ability to check in prior to my visit. The app, while it could use some accessibility enhancements, Was pretty easy to use. When I arrived at the urgent care center, they were actually able to see me early. The care I received was great. Overall, it was a good visit.

The appointment feature worked well; I only had to wait a few minutes. The doctor was very helpful and listened to my questions. Highly recommend

This is the best urgent care facility I’ve visited in the Cambridge area. The clinic was clean, efficient, convenient, and well-organized. The staff got me the care I needed quickly, and having a CVS pharmacy directly across the street was an added benefit. Overall, my experience was very positive. The reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is because of an interaction during an X-ray that I believe presents an opportunity for staff training and improvement. I came in with what turned out to be a sinus infection. The PA who treated me was kind and recommended an X-ray to rule out pneumonia. After changing into a gown, I was escorted upstairs for the imaging procedure. I am a masculine-of-center person whose sex and gender are often mistaken. That generally doesn’t bother me when it is not malicious. Before the X-ray, the technician appropriately asked me a series of standard questions, including whether there was any chance I could be pregnant. Before I could answer, another staff member in the room laughed out loud. I was humiliated did not feel comfortable addressing it in the moment. I was undressed, without my belongings, and in a vulnerable position as a patient. I simply ignored the laughing and completed the procedure. I am sharing this not because I want anyone disciplined, but because I hope it can be used as a learning opportunity. I actually wish you all have me an opportunity for offering private feedback because it is not ideal for me to share this on the internet but a google review was the only option for feedback. Regardless of the reason for the laughter, it was unprofessional and potentially harmful. First, medical professionals should generally avoid reacting to routine screening questions in ways that could embarrass patients. Second, patients may have many reasons for being unable to become pregnant, including infertility or intersex variations. For some people, those topics can be deeply painful. Laughing in response to a pregnancy-related question could be hurtful even when no harm is intended. Third, many people who appear masculine can become pregnant, including some transgender men, nonbinary people, gender-nonconforming individuals, and others. Medical providers should not make assumptions about a patient’s reproductive capacity based on appearance. Similarly, providers should not make assumptions about pregnancy risk based on perceived sexual orientation. People become pregnant in many different ways and under many different circumstances. Again, I want to emphasize that this review is not intended to get anyone in trouble. In fact, I thought the facility was excellent overall. My hope is simply that management will consider additional training around cultural competency, implicit bias, and patient-centered care so that all patients feel respected and comfortable during vulnerable medical encounters.

8:15 appointment, no other patients there, not seen until 9:15 The over reach in personal information is absurd. Went for an X-ray on hand, had to answer questions about menopause, and more questions about my life than my primary care doctor asks. The data collection is used- the clause saying we use your data if it helps improve the business operations. You also have to give a copy of your drivers license front and back. So just know going to urgent care you give away your personal data and you are likely not seen close to when you book an appointment.
