Every time I have called BEST they have found a way to not be helpful and refuse to come out. There are so many roadblocks that they put up and you end up having to call police anyway. Waste of time and not the organization advertised.

Not sure why this place is still standing but honestly places like this is why there is a mental health crisis. My best friend has been suffering with insomnia triggered by her ADHD. Her brain literally never shuts off and I’ve seen her suffering from this for years! She finally decided to get help because she’s tired of being up for more than 24 hours at a time, tired of constantly interrupting people, tired of not being able to make it to appointments and tired of not even being able to do her job correctly because of this debilitation issue. She was diagnosed by a previous therapist but because of her age she had to transfer to a new clinic so was unable to be prescribed her ADHD meds. Her previous doctor referred her to this awful clinic with the promise of a diagnoses and prescription. She went today and after waiting a while she was told she will just receive a call from a doctor and she could go home, this is after she was told they couldn’t do calls over the phone. She goes home and she get a call explains her symptoms and previous diagnoses. The doctor informs her that she does sound to have ADHD but unfortunately there’s nothing she could do for her because those meds are hard to prescribe due to substance abuse. My friend starts crying and asking what she should do than and the doctor just keeps repeating there’s nothing she can do for her but that a “prescriber” will call her but that they will most likely still not prescribe her any meds. My friend is on the highest dose possible for sleeping meds and still falls asleep at 6am every day, and when she runs out she is up for more than 2 days at a time. This clinic is useless and honestly just a money grab. My friend deserves better, everyone suffering from mental health issues deserve better.

Zero stars! "This agency is absolutely terrible and I don’t understand how it’s legal for them to function like this." (from another review that nails it!) THIS AGENCY NEEDS TO BE DE-FUNDED and SHUT DOWN. THIS IS A FRAUD AT THE CITIZENS IN CRISIS EXPENSE !! For a lot of the people in person they are taking their insurance and charging people and perhaps on the phone if you provide that information to them - all because they want to bill for services they did not do.... They or 100% unprofessional they don't care, they don't care! Also, omg they DO NOT have anybody to come out to anybody's homes nearby in the city of Boston or far away areas for that matter!! FRAUD. They're under staffed. Basically, if it's late at night especially, it'll be the person answering the phone that's the staff and that's it... Maybe another staff sitting there in the office but not designated to go out to anybody's mobile *crisis* situation.... All they want to do is "talk" filling time with dialogue (like a lot of these call places if that some don't even want to talk to you and speak robot like from script and then get you off the phone)... they take notes and they're getting paid or staying afloat based on the amount of phone calls there so called *helping* with...again it's a fraud...... They also just outright tell lies and keep talking through it pretending like someone will come out that they have a mobile crisis because of course when you call you're able to ask these questions cuz you want to learn about it and what next steps will be and what will happen but if you do this you'll see that they're avoiding the coming out like if you ask how long will it be till someone comes out good luck with getting that answer.. I advocate for others and came across trouble with this for many years and decided to write my review after the last phone call to them for help for someone that was in need... BEST absolute nightmare and a joke :( Do NOT waste your time calling this place ever when in trouble with mental health crisis for yourself or others!! Do not call! Do NOT go there in person either. From the other review: "...They sometimes don’t show up at all & never tell you, nor do they contact you to see if you’ve stabilized or are even still alive. They say they’ll call cabs for patients and then don’t, they show up hours after they said they would (if at all), and they’re just plain rude to people in crisis." "BEST is an absolute disgrace to mental health care." ** Read all the one star reviews and know that there are hundreds more stories from people who didn't take the time to come here to share :(

I only give it a 1 because I have to give it something to post. This place is pointless. I went in on Wednesday with mental health issues, homicidal, suicidal. Saw a nurse on Thursday and today they said they are increasing my anxiety meds. I have been in here before, but now they cut the whole program out. None of the groups on their schedule happen. They want you to just stay medicated and out of their way. This morning I was cussed out by Jolisa because I happened to be in the day room which is right next to the office and she was having an unprofessional conversation about a former patient here, that went to the hospital last night.I very nicely stuck my head in the office and said that she shouldn't be talking about her like that. I continued walking back towards my room, then Jolisa, apparently having little to no professional training came hollering behind me. She said that I should just go.
