Every time I’ve gone to the Overlake Urgent Care in Newcastle, it’s always been a wonderful experience. Great doctors that genuinely care about you and the work they do, and it shows. The only (small) downside is that the wait times can be longer on the weekends, but when you have a great clinic with great, attentive staff, I can see why it gets busy here.

Went in after I made a get in line appt. Waited 3 hours for that. Went in and they said it would another 3 hours I'm the meantime a guy came in after me and said he made a get in line also and they said o it just be a few minutes to him. I asked the girl that said that to him and she rather snippy I can't discuss that with you. Also everyone has to wear a mask but the, 3 girls working there did not have masks on. Interesting

As always, this clinic is the best for both primary care and urgent care. It’s so important to be greeted kindly and patiently when you’re not feeling well, and the front desk consistently does that here. The wait time was much shorter than anticipated and the waiting area is pleasant, with lots of space to allow separation from the sick folks. The assistant (or nurse?) who did my intake was also kind and personable, putting me at ease, despite my painful injury. And the NP showed up quickly after and was similarly careful, thorough, provided good information and explanation about why she was giving referral. I don’t recommend getting sick or injured, but if you do, this is the best place to go.

My recent interactions with the front desk staff were exceptional. The effectiveness of front-line personnel is crucial to an organization's success, and my previous experiences had been less favorable, especially with the office manager, who demonstrated a lack of attentiveness and responsiveness. I value my physician, and that was the sole reason for my continued patronage. I will refrain from any personal interaction with the office manager in the future.

The staff were all wonderful, but the wait times were frustrating. Despite only spending about 5 minutes each with the nurse and doctor, I ended up sitting alone in the exam room for over an hour (1 hour and 30 minutes). Factor in another 10 minutes in the lobby, and the total visit ran much longer than expected. Just be prepared to set aside a good chunk of your day.
